Description
Pokemon White 2 Kaizo is a ROM hack that takes the already challenging game of “Pokemon White 2” and turns up the difficulty to 11. This fan-made game is known for its grueling battles, unforgiving level scaling, and an overall increased level of challenge that will test even the most experienced Pokémon trainers.
The game includes a variety of changes, including stronger gym leaders, tougher wild Pokémon encounters, and an increased level of strategy required to succeed. Additionally, the hack introduces new features such as the ability to obtain all Pokémon without trading, new move sets for many Pokémon, and a re-balancing of the game’s items and abilities to make for a more exciting and challenging experience. Features/Changes
The game features a vast array of diverse encounters, thanks to the availability of around 520 distinct Pokemon. Each playthrough promises to be unique, as many Pokemon possess new abilities and hidden talents for a more balanced and varied gameplay experience. Furthermore, several moves have been rebalanced to ensure optimal utility, with a comprehensive list provided in the game’s documentation.
The game also introduces several modifications to the level-up learnsets for stone evolutions, keeping them in line with their pre-evolutions due to a limited move pool. Additionally, trade-based evolutions have been adjusted to accommodate single-player gameplay.
Players will encounter challenging trainers throughout the game, with maximum Individual Values (IVs) of 31 in every stat, as well as well-balanced or themed teams. However, players will not earn Effort Values (EVs) from battles. Route trainers are comparatively easier, whereas gym trainers are typically stronger. Optional trainers are more challenging since they guard better items or access to additional encounters. The game also includes every gym leader from the previous regions.
Victory road features world championship teams, featuring renowned trainers such as Wolfe Glick and Ray Rizzo, who have won three world championships. Players can plan their strategies using documented information about the full parties of over 250 trainers.
Players receive three starters following the all-triples format. For those seeking more challenges, additional encounters are available on the second floor of every Pokemon Center, with each center having a specific type theme. Level caps for each gym segment are also provided in the documentation.
Players can earn valuable held items such as gems by defeating trainers, with stronger opponents yielding better rewards. The game’s documentation provides a complete list of trainers and their respective rewards. The game also includes various items in shops, including Rare Candies, Berries, Shards, and Heart Scales.
